Our Work in the Community



Here at RoboPets, we truly care for the community and have taken the time to get to know the people who our Robotic companion pets help. Over the past 2 years we have visited many care homes, and met people who work in the care and assistance community to speak to them to find out how these pets have improved their lives.

 

Feb 2020

We introduced our robotic pets to Dell Care Home, operated by Wellbeing Care to their Care Home residents and Day Care customers, and brought so many smiles and joy to their lovely residents.


We also attended the Annual Plymouth International Dementia Conference at Plymouth Guildhall which was an amazing day with guest speakers from around the world! Truly inspirational talks by Ian Sherriff BEM, Professor Sube Banerjee MBE, Bridie Oakes-Richards, Chris Rankin MBE, University of Plymouth students, Dr Rupert Noad, Kasper Bormans, Oliver Constant, and many more.


Jan 2020

We attended a fund-raising event to raise money in Plymouth for Edgcumbe Unit, a specialist dementia unit.


Sept 2019

We visited Butterfly Lodge to showcase the robotic companion pets to residents.


June 2019

We met with staff and residents at a care home in Liskeard and introduced the pets to the residents for a 2 hour session.


May 2019

We visited Moments Café and Memory Matters Hub in aid of Dementia Action Week with our Assistive Technology stall.


March 2019

We showcased our robotic companion pets at the Innovative Care Exhibition at Westpoint Exeter so care staff could personally interact and witness the huge benefits of our products.


Attended Memory Matters in Plymouth to celebrate 2 years of service to the community.


Feb 2019

We visited a Dementia care unit, Edgcumbe Unit, Mount Gould Hospital in Plymouth where I witnessed one of the most heart-warming moments of my career within the Dementia Community. Read more here!


Nov 2018

We attended Carers' Rights Day at Plymouth Guildhall and met some amazing people.
